  Dr. Hasnie has no compassion or empathy for his patients. My father was diagnosed with terminal cancer and was awaiting to get a second opinion. My father has a mechanical heart valve and in order to get a second opinion needed to meet with Dr. Hasnie to receive a prescription for Lovanox. Dr. Hasnie's office was booked for almost a month in advance and we were forced to re-schedule my dad's appointments with his oncologist in Ann Arbor. Dr. Hasnie's office called us the day of my father's appointment and informed us that the appointment was rescheduled to a hour before the previous time. We arrived 30 minutes early for our appointment and waited 2 hours after the scheduled time while my dad became nauseous and began puking. I informed the staff at the time that we had been waiting for 2 hours and they told me that we were the next to be evaluated. Dr. Hasnie arrived with my father's chart and was unaware that he had a mechanical heart valve. He proceeded to ask him why he had a valve? This was very disturbing to me knowing that he was holding my father's chart in his hand and didn't take the time look over his chart before proceeding to evaluate him. He listened to my father's heart and asked him why we were there to see him? After we informed him that we needed to take him off his current blood thinner, Coumadin, and bridge him over to Lovanox, he informed us to remain in contact with his assistant. He spent a total of 3 minutes with my father and family before leaving. During this time the holidays were occurring so it was difficult getting in contact with his assistant. After I was able to contact her she informed me that my father did not need to bridge from Coumadin to Lovanox rather we just had to withhold his Coumadin for 24 hours. They informed us that he had to be on a antibiotic prior to his procedure and told us to figure out how we were going to get a IV antibiotic into him. We were finally able to get my father his antibiotic before his procedure although Dr. Hasnie was no help at all. This man should not be a doctor if he does not understand what is going on with his patients or let alone read their charts to have a general idea before providing any care. This man cares more about people making office visits to make a quick buck rather than having any concern or empathy for the patient and their families. Please avoid this man at all costs and do not let him be involved in any of you or your family's care. Because of Dr. Hasnie and his games, it cost us valuable precious time with my father and a chance at extending his life. This man is very heartless and cruel!
